Integrated pest management

How we treat when we do

Four steps, in this order. Treatment is the fourth, not the first.

  1. 01

    Inspect

Read the monitors and walk the building to find where pests live, eat or get in.

  2. 02

    Identify

Name the pest, because ants, flies and cockroaches each need a different answer.

  3. 03

    Correct

Seal gaps, fix damp, change how waste is stored. Most lasting results come from here.

  4. 04

    Treat

Where a treatment is still needed, use a targeted option, in the spot the readings point to, and follow the label.

On every visit

What we hand over

  • Every visit

    • A written service report · What we found, what we did and where

    • The products used · Listed by visit, with the label directions we followed

    • Where to keep pets and people away · And for how long

Honest limits

What this approach can and can’t do

  • Can

Cut how often we spray, and show you why.

  • Can’t

Promise a building will have no pests. Results vary with the building.

  • Can’t

Replace repairs. A leak the owner doesn’t fix will keep feeding pests.

Questions

Treatment questions

How much does monitoring cost?

It depends on how many units or rooms, how many monitors the building needs and how often we read them. We give you the number in writing after the walk-through. The cost page lists what moves it.

What do the monitors actually do?

They catch, count or log. Sticky cards hold crawling insects, stations show whether rodents visited and loggers record damp and warmth. They don't send anyone an alert in the night: we read them on our visits and put the counts in your report.

What about kids and pets?

Licensed applicators follow the product label, and we place monitors and stations where children and pets can't reach them or in locked housings. We tell you where and when to keep pets away, and the service report lists every product used. Ask for it any time.

Do you use organic products?

Where an OMRI-listed product will do the job, we can use it. Some jobs need something else, and we say so before we start. We never use the word organic about a visit as a whole.

How long until the counts change?

Most sites see a change within a few weeks, but it varies with the pest, the building and whether the cause, like a leak or a gap, gets fixed.
